Pains to say it…but these were a great team…and this was the World Cup that Gerd Muller made his name…especially with his performance in the quarter final against England…England 2-0 up…Sir Alf takes Bobby Charlton off to rest him for the semi-finals…Beckenbauer then dominated the midfield…and the Germans started there football curse on us to break our hearts for many years ahead by coming back to beat us 3-2!
